What We Do

Education

To address education issues facing the country, Elevate Haiti Ministries has made providing free education to the underserved in Lathan a priority. Through Ecole Primaire et Secondaire de Pecheur D’hommes, we provide access to education, personal growth and development. The school has over 130 students. Our staff and teachers are dedicated to helping and equipping our students. Included in our school are life skills and strategies. Through our free afterschool program, we provide additional reading, writing, and math assistance to students in need of additional support. The goal is to holistically improve early grade reading and writing. Very soon, the school will have technology and internet access which will provide the ability to develop student’s technology skills and learning. To complete this task, we need your support.

Gissendanner Medical Center

Medical center

Through Gissendanner Medical Center, we provide health services during our annual mission trip to Haiti bringing medical care to a much needed community. The majority of the people don’t have access to basic health-care services, which can assist in the prevention of chronic diarrhea, respiratory infections, malaria, tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS, hypertension, diabetes, some of which are the leading causes of death. We believe with the medical center, we will be able to provide free and sliding scales physicals for the school, the church and the community.

Croisade Evangelique de Pecheurs D’Hommes

Through Croisade Evangelique de Pecheurs D’Hommes, we provide the Haitian community a place where they can grow spirituality. Thus, everyone is welcome. We believe that the Christian church needs to play a greater role in Haiti. We seek to alleviate human suffering without regard to race, religion, gender or background. We believe all people have God-given worth, dignity and a right to assistance when in need. The church currently has over 300 members. Through the aforementioned initiatives, Elevate Haiti Ministries offers opportunities to Christian Missionaries and able servants to put their faith and love into action through challenging and rewarding missionary trips where they will complete projects such as repairing and renovating homes for those in need, leading educational and empowerment workshops, repairing water purification systems, leading children’s outreach programs, visiting hospitals, working at the Gissendanner Medical Center, sewing uniforms and clothes, responding to natural disasters, feeding the poor and much more.

Boys’ Home

boys_home

Serving one of the poorest areas in Haiti, our mission is to improve the quality of life for the Laplaine community members, particularly young underserved boys, through education, nutrition, healthcare and spiritual growth. Our goal is to empower these young boys so they can become productive citizens. Currently, we have twelve boys. However, the goal is to raise 24 boys to become successful and healthy men who will become transformational/servant leaders in Haiti. Our boys also receive daily Music, English and extracurricular activities through sports.

How can you help

Our ultimate goal is to empower and enhance the Haitian people. As you know, Haiti has for many decades been the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. According to numerous studies, Haitians face a short life expectancy, chronic threats to health, inadequate food production and severe environmental pollution. Therefore, you can help some of the Haitian people to turn things around by joining Elevate Haiti Ministries in this effort. We cannot do it without you. Our mission is in our name—we "elevate." With the help of Jesus Christ and the generosity of benevolent supporters like you, we will continue to see improvements in the Haitian community through our school, boys’ home, medical center, and church. We pray that God continues to Bless and Keep you.
