I am writing this letter to request your support and participation in this important and urgent fundraiser being conducted by Elevate Haiti Ministries, Inc. As our twelve wonderful boys who reside in our boys’ home get older, a few of whom have had to and will leave the compound to go to middle school. Moreover, all twelve boys enjoy participating in extracurricular activities, which usually take place outside of the compound. However, because of the unpredictable environment in Haiti, it is not safe for the boys to take public transportation thereby making us ponder some alternatives. Therefore, we concluded that purchasing a vehicle will ensure safe transportation for our boys as well as provide reliable and adequate transportation in medical emergencies, joining a soccer league and taking music lessons, to name a few.
When I’m asked why we should care about what happens in Haiti, I think about the scripture that says: You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor. Our goal is to raise $ 30,000.00 within six months. You can personally support this worthwhile and life-changing effort by committing to a one-time tax deductible donation of $200.00 or more.
